Surgery and Anesthesia
Surgical procedures and anesthesia are, without a doubt, the topics we receive the most questions about. Many pet owners only have their pets anesthetized a few times during the pet's life. Typically, owners have their pets spayed or neutered, possibly declawed if they have a cat, and, hopefully, put under anesthesia for dental procedures. At Central, we would like our clients and prospective clients to know as much as possible about the safety precautions we take during surgical procedures. The document below outlines the typical surgery schedule and follows with a question and answer style memo regarding good anesthetic procedures.
We want to highlight our practices because these practices are what set us apart from many of our competitors. If you do not have a regular veterinarian and you are searching for the right place to perform a necessary or elective surgery, take a few minutes to read over this document so you'll have the right questions and you can compare "apples to apples" before you make your choice. As always, don't hesitate to call or e-mail us with any questions you might have.
